A little election day levity

I've noticed a few things lately that have left me a little confused. First, while I hope California says "no" to Prop 8, I don't know if I'd cast my vote for it as the most popular state:

(and while we're on the topic of gay marriage, I have to give NM props for not having passed a defense of marriage act.)

Second, this video has some conflicting info. So, is New Mexico in a recession?

I hope that this election brings better usage of the English language and more knowledge of geography.
