I finally got off my ass to canvass. It's not really my cup of tea-I'm introverted, and I generally try not to bother people. (Of note: I had done some canvassing before but in Spanish. I'm more gregarious when I'm speaking anything besides English.)
When I thought about going door-to-door, I realized how many other things I had to do. Like lay around, waste time on the computer, and read. A phone call a few days ago, though, guilted me into doing it.
And like so many things in life, the reality was much better than the idea I had in my mind. Only one man yelled at me. I wished him a good day. Some people showed their kindness by inviting me into their homes, and others talked about the debate. I had fun.
I'm doing it again next week.
